Kristi Durbin and Mark Williams will share the Standard Operating Procedures used on UK’s Organic Farming Unit (developed over decades of diversified farming) and provide a “show and tell” of the techniques, machinery, hand tools, & bed preparation used in their production.

This Organic Association of Kentucky Field Day will address these questions and those posed by participants to provide a rich understanding of the seed/seedling transition to a healthy, productive mature plant. Geared toward production farmers who are scaling-up and/or transitioning to Certified Organic, this Field Day is offered at 4321 Emmert Farm Lane, Lexington KY 40514, where the staff of the 30-acre UK Organic Farming Unit has been growing and selling certified organic fruit, vegetables, flowers and herbs for over ten years.
